hey guys and dolls...

so i'm lookin' to build on my current assortment of tattoos,and start working on my full sleeve... and i was thinking about incorporating my love for bikes into the artwork.

i was first thinking a chain design... but then i'm kinda worried that it'll look like a biker tat (motorcycle chain)

i was also considering the Marin Bear logo (i love my Marins!!!)- but tweak it a little more to my liking (different border- more like the crest border on the headbadge on my B-17)

i'm open to any cool ideas. shout'em out here, and if i end up incorporating an idea from this thread, i'll post the finished product (pics) once i get blasted.

An Iron Horse logo would look tight!

I like the Marin bear on my B-17 SS as well. Maybe something that looks a little more viscious with some tire marks or wheel spin, red eyes?

I've been thinking about a tat as well but it's NBR. Maybe Q.W. or Sims can chime in since they have a number of tats...

would you mind posting some pix of your tattoos so we can see what you got going on? awhile back we had a tattoo thread, i'll have to dig it up...stay tuned.

i don't think i'll ever have any tattoos, but a major injury where a scar was left from a feeding or breathing tube (can't remember the story correctly), having the trail name and date seems like a good idea lol

shoot- i took some pics with my phone right now and tried to send them to my email... but they didnt go i guess...

gosh durn technology.

if somebody knows what to do with cell phone pics, i can shoot them over to somebody to post them... haha i suck.

i think the best one would the the nba/steve jackson foot drag, that would be tight!

great- now my desire to get ink done has been rekindled. all i want is a 21 tooth cog outline on the back of a calf. proper size, of course.

I highly recommend staying away from logos of any kind. You want something original, so it would be cool to pick some kind of traditional style tattoo and have the tattoo artist put some sort of bike spin on it. Like instead of a standard pin up girl, get a mtb chick all suited up but in a pinup style or something like that.

awesome idea, especially my sleeve is going to be total new-skool style art
