my advice is to wait until you are ready to permanently alter your body. your mom probably isn't going for it. i'm still scared to let my mom see my ink. i'm 35.

my mom almost let me shes just afriad of my dad...
lol
i actually kinda drew both her tattoo's but the guy at the tattoo shop slightly altered it

Brandon, I think your main concern will be, "will I want this in X years" or "will this affect my career/employment down the road," etc. I got my first tattoo at 18 - the dragon on my back. I don't even like it anymore and now I've ruined te potential for any kind of cool backpiece. The only reason it doesn't bother me THAT much is because it's on my back and I don't see my back on a regular basis.

Other than that, F*%& what your parents think about your tattoos. Mine were pissed at me for a long time, but once I got to a certain point, I could come home with new tattoos and they wouldn't even notice. If you start getting ink too early though, it's quite likely you'll regret it later! Trust me!

its not as much im afraid of their opinion
but honestly, who is going to do a tattoo for a 15 year old kid without parents permission... even with it would be hard to get..thats another reason i want the chameleon ink... you cant see it unless its under black light... it almost sounds pointless but would be cool at parties or clubs, bars, haunted houses etc..

Kind of reminds me of this album cover (The Beautiful Girls). Ironically enough, their song "Morning Sun" was in the movie Roam.

Wait until you are at LEAST 18. Invisible ink or otherwise. Seriously.

I also got a tat at 18, it's small and only visible if I wear a shirt that moves up (below my belly button).

It's a butterfly.. my mom said it'll be an eagle when I'm pregnant

very true.

i had ideas about getting ink done as early as 19... but i didn't actually get any done until i was 26.

it actually took me that long to finally decide what i wanted and how i wanted it, and what artist i wanted to work on me.

i've had 3 different artists do work for me, and i'm happy with them all. and i've driven over 4 hours just to have a certain artist do a piece.

I have four tats and while I don't regret any of them I wish I had been a bit wiser on where I went to get them. It was a decent shop but I think the artist wasn't as into it as others I've seen. I have one of Wolverine (I've been reading that comic since i was like 10) and while it's a cool tat I could've gotten either A.) a better pic of him or B.) worked it into something cooler. Instead its just him on my right arm and really nothing more I can do with it. Wait until you get out there and really get to see all of the artists, they're abilities and really think about where and what you're getting done so that you don't get stuck in a corner with it.

wow, how original, your going to get a tattoo. Are you going to get a star, dice, skull, tribal, lucky 13, sprocket or anything else like the countless trendy people you see? Here's an idea Brandon, try being original and don't get a tattoo. Tattoos are the absolute most trendy thing anyone can do to thenselves. 98% of people getting tattoos these days are trendy, maybe the other 2% have a real passion for the subject of the tattoo they get. Maybe. Walk through the mall and try to tell me that tattoos are not the biggest trend these days. At least someone posting is being responsible and told you to wait.

.....whatever they are labled, the real punks are first and foremost one thing...Themselves. Steve Ignorant of "CRASS"
