I know the feeling, spent 5 years as a messenger while at Uni....got a good collection of scars to prove it!

My ride from Rancho to Irvine is pretty mellow, plenty of bike paths, and if I'm feeling creative I can make it to my office with only hitting pavement for a few short sections, and that includes 7 miles of dirt (trying not to make you feel jealous!!!)
