Hey! No nasty pictures! This is a family website... Beer should never have fruit to mask it's flavours (and I am in the same mindset with coffee)! Fruit can accent, i.e. dunkelweiss with a slice of orange, fresh blueberries in an american wheat beer, etc... Swill like that bottle above uses fruit to mask the skunkiness of the product inside, which i hesitate to call beer. Now back to your coffee discussion...

I started drinking coffee with sweetener way back when, but my entire family drank it black. So I gave it a shot. I hated it for a short while but I got used to it. It took about a week of drinking coffee black when it finally kicked in that it tasted good on its own. It's worth it, so much easier! |

How bout no coffee. I have had a latte here and there, but never been a coffee drinker. Gives me the Shatz and a tummy ache.I don't like caffeine in general.

I had this same dilemma a while back, as I HATE the taste of black coffee and sweetened coffee tastes likes sweetened coffee.
After getting a new job and having to wake up at 4:30am every morning, I got it down to a science. Here is a decent tasting cup of coffee for right around 30 calories: 1 mug of your coffee of choice (For generic black coffee: 5 calories, 0 fat, 0 carbs, 0 protein) 1 packet of Fatfree hot coa coa (Nestle has a fatfree one and Swiss has a "Milk Chocolate Diet" (25 calories, 0 fat, 4 carbs, 1g fiber!, 2g sugars, 2g protein!) Add Splenda to taste (0 calories, 0 fat, <1 carb, 0 protein) So basically the only thing with calories is is the fatfree hot coacoa and the coffee. I intially did not add the splenda, just the coffee and hot coacoa, but then found out a bit of splenda was like the cherry on top. Hope this helps! |

i usually drink my coffee black, but if i have to add something it is usually soy milk. fat content is about the same as 2% milk, but it is creamier and more sweet.

Those International Delight and other creamers (even fat free/sugar free ones) are horrible! If you look at the ingredients, they usually have partially hydrogenated oil as a main ingredient. You don't want to consume that sh*t!
What I do is buy Trader Joe's brand soymilk CREAMER. It actually tastes better than just regular soymilk and it doesn't have all the bad stuff. I sweeten with Splenda. BTW - I tried Stevia a few times and it was HORRID. I hated it even more than Equal!!

Mountain Bike team sponsored by a microbrewery that has a beer blended with Jittery Joe's coffee. The team name... Team Wake and Bake. Jittery Joe's coffee also sponsors a pro road team.

Here is my $.02...
Any kind of artificial stuff is something I'd rather not deal with. Yes, it's nearly impossible to avoid it all but I'd rather eat sugar/honey/agave than Splenda/NutraSweet/Equal. I found unsweetened vanilla (or almond) flavored soy milk. It's awesome. Still gives you flavor with minimal fat and no extra sugar. Even the "plain" soy milk (Silk, etc) has added sugar. I rarely drink coffee anymore. Instead, I usually drink Yogi tea (chai green) or Stash (double black chai) with the unsweetened vanilla soy milk. No sugar. Lots of flavor. Cheap. |

Definitely some of Bugs' finest work in that one. Actually it's tea that gives Pete headaches, so in the end he opts for coffee...and helps himself to the lumps! Seems it's a slow day around here as well... ![]() Oh, and black, no sugar, btw. Only way to fly!
