Roofing billionaire, dies by falling through roof of his own house.

ELOIT, Wis. - The 91st richest man in the U.S., a roofing company billionaire, has died after falling through his home garage's roof, local authorities said Friday.

I don't understand why this is ironic. He was as roofer, and died while roofing. Isn't that like saying it's ironic that the race car driver died while racing a car?

The irony is that the thing that made him who he is was ultimately his demise.

There is also irony in the fact that he made his billions in the roofing industry yet the roof of his own house is so decrepit that it collapses under the weight load of a single human being. He's someone who SHOULD know a thing or two about roofing, enough to NOT die while doing it.

Hypothetically, what if Samuel Colt died by accidently shooting himself with one of his own products, wouldn't there be irony in that?

Make sense, but roofing is an inherently dangerous occupation.

Now, if he was jumping up and down on the and yelling "MWAAHAH! I make the greatest roofs in the world!" then fell to his death, that would be ironic.

Sorry, not trying thread crap. It was a good article either way.
