In the glorious days of my misspent youth, we used to cruise the neighborhood on trash day after New Year looking for Xmas trees with wooden stands attached. Guaranteed to be dry as a bone.
We would drag it to the middle of the street, squirt a little lighter fluid and torch it.

Every year my family and friends would go to California City from 12-26 to 1-1 riding motorcycles etc...everyone would bring their xmas trees and 1 guy woudl always decorate his w/ brick of firecrackers and bottle rockets...m80's and other fireworks...he would bury it in the ground and dump 5 gal of gas over it w/ a tail.....as soon as the fireworks were done we would toss the rest of the trees on to the fire....those were the HOTTEST fires I have ever felt....we would stand 30' away and you skin still felt the burning....
