Wally? I didn't see his name ! He was a mentor for my bro, Wally helped him from t-ball all through his life even with a decison my brother made - to go to college instead of playing in the minors..Full paid ride in college though - Thanks Wally! He was a close family friend from church and sports..

Very surprising, very surprising

Downloaded to entire report this morning. 409 pages. Some of the stuff Mitchell is talking about is amazing how blatant it was in clubhouses.

Those are just the ones that got caught. It's interesting to see the pitchers on there. I guess you had better be on the juice if you are going to pitch to hitters pumped up on steroids. Levels the playing field a bit, eh?

If they are shooting up on both sides of the ball, than who really cares? Even if the old home run records are being smashed, you gotta figure that while guys like Ruth and Aaron weren't on steroids, neither were they guys pitching to them.

If they want to shred their bodies for my entertainment, so be it.

Imo nothing should be a surprise hear. Baseball from the top (selig) is the weakest run sport in the US

The list does not surprise me.

Personally, seeing a player on this list that I admire does not change my perception towards him as a player. I personally think that without his natural and God given talent he would not be on TV entertaining me or countless others in the first place.

So he took enhancement drugs to prolong his career, improve his natural ability, and or recover from injury. Should that shatter and destroy all the found memories I have associated to those moments? I personally do not think so.

In 1998 baseball fever was at a frenzy. People that did not even watch baseball where tunning into ESPN to hear about Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa. The Cubs and Cardinals games where televised nationally, simply it was an incredible time for baseball and all major sports. I remember that year and forever will remember as I watched two individuals entertain the world by smashing a small ball 400+ feet. If it was not for enhancement drugs, this moment would have never occurred.

Sad really, but I agree with Wicked and Mechmann, let them do their stupid drugs and then put on a good show. And then when the start dying we can watch just like Lyle Alzedo.

I tend to agree with this statement by stand up comedian Daniel Tosh.

"I think pro-athletes should be forced to use steroids. I think we as fans deserve the greatest athletes science can create! Lets go! Anything that will make you run faster, jump higher! I have High-Definition TV! I want my athletes like my video games! Lets go! I could care less if you die at 40. You hate life after sports anyways. I'm doing you a favor."

The biggest problem I see with with endorsing PED's in the pros, is where does it stop (or maybe 'begin' is a better term)?

In order to make the pro ranks, you have to be seen in college or the minor leagues.

In order to make the college team or minor leagues, you have to excel at the youth level.

So, do we start juicing 8 year olds so they can make the "A" team?
