Hard Stuff
Jameson (always) Beer I have fallen in love with Rouge Morimoto Soba Ale Super clean refreshing ale. I found it at the new Whole Foods in Pasadena. Got 3 22oz bottles! Craftman Porter I recently drank at The York in Highland Park. Killer coffee flavors with a slight chocolate aftertaste. Wine Almost any Zin This amazing Zin Port I found at Trader Joes. This stuff is out of this world if you like big earthy wine and/or port Coffee Peet's, my fav is the Ethiopian blend Etc Green Plant from Trader Joes. The only thing that would make this drink better would be more fiber. I would like to make a blend with more fiber and some protein.

I'm right there with ya bro. 400 calories of processed sugar and carbonated water really doesn't do much for you in the health department. Neither does pounding down the booze.

Right now I'm tipping back a Trader Joe's Octoberfest, pretty decent stuff. I have been enjoying some of the 'Green Flash' breweries line up at the Goat in Costa Mesa too lately, pretty tasty stuff.
One to avoid at all costs though is the Samual Adams Cranberry Lambic that comes in the holiday pack. Everything else is good (especially 'old fezziwig') but the Lambic almost defies description. I have never seen anyone crack one open and say 'yeah baby, that's what I'm talkin' 'bout!' |

Those responding under 21 who do NOT drink I applaud you. I didn't drink until I was just shy of 21. Knowing when and how much to drink is an art form that should be perfect later in life. There should be no rush to grow up.
Now that I am "of age" I love to drink and hate to get drunk. I enjoy getting a good solid buzz under the right circumstances but getting really drunk is just not worth it any more. Please drink responsibly. ![]()

Hard Stuff - I don't really drink anything hard anymore. I think the last thing was either a Mojito or shots of Jagermeister.
Beer - We're going from warmer to cooler weather, so I'm going from crisp, light beers to something a little heavier, like Belgian ales. ![]() Wine - Wow, anything tasty. Syrah is my favorite grape, but Riesling & Port will always be my first loves. Coffee - Whatever is brewed when I get into the store. Etc - Gatorade & Gu Gels. |
