The loop is about 12 miles and newbie friendly, that's why I started the newbie ride. This is the first ride I did when I started riding, I weighed 350# then. The ride is really mellow and a lot of fun so don't worry about it and come out and ride, you might have to walk some of the climbs but who cares so do plenty of others.
