Ooops - didn't see your post 'til today. We would have joined you, but we had more abuse we needed to inflict upon ourselves. Riding this evening at Aliso. See you there?
Hey there-- we ride a fairly brisk pace but it really depends on how we're all feeling that day. Totally non-competitive, we're just out to have a good time. Feel free to invite others too-- always great to meet new riders!
As for the night ride, sounds fun. I did a few 24-Hour Races when I lived on the East Coast and the night riding stages were my favorite. Having said that, I have not done a night ride in probably 8 years or so and not having ridden the route your described, I probably would beg off on leading/sweeping for now. I still do have my NiteRider somewhere and can dig it out. During the work week, my sked is a bit erratic. When were you thinking about doing this?
I'd definitely be up to do it. My night vision isn't exactly the greatest........think I need to get a new set of lights. This would be fun if we could get a good number to roll.
Hey-- thanks for letting me add you! The G-D-C stands for Gene-Dan-Chris... (yes, it's cheesy I know) a Herzalot creation for those who love to ride Aliso, discuss bikes, bike gear and bike fashion. We all met while riding Aliso-- actually, Dan and I met riding Whiting (hope it opens back up soon) and then we met Chris at the bottom of Rockit. We usually ride every weekend and try to squeeze in a weekday ride if our work schedules permit. Please join us for a loop at Aliso! It'd be great to have some new faces on our rides.
