Yeah, I know the place you're talking about. I would stop off there on my way to/from Jerusalem off HWY 1. Some of the best hummous I ever had (though my friends told me there is a better place in Tel Aviv). My favorite place to eat in Tel Aviv-- at least back in 2004-2005-- was The Coffee Shop near Rabin Square if I remember correctly. It looked just like a Manhattan bistro with a great bar. Also, some great, great sushi in Tel Aviv and Herziliya Pituach. And my favorite place to party: Rothschild or Lilienblum St or the old port in Tel Aviv. If Beirut and Tel Aviv could be connected, you'd have a new party mecca.

I was there covering the Second Intifada-- saw pretty much the entire country especially the West Bank and Gaza. Only place I've worked where I could be in a war zone in the morning and then at a swank club in Tel Aviv by sunset. Plus, the best falafels I have ever had are in West Jerusalem--"The Falafel King". Amazing place. My friend tells me there is some good mountain biking in the Negev. If there is war with Iran, I want to cover it from the Tel Aviv Hilton.

We did a little group ride at Aliso this weekend. You should come out with us next weekend.

I grew up in Lkwd, moved to HB for a few years and bought a house back in Lkwd 5 yrs ago. Small world, It seems like I always run into someone that either lives or lived in Lkwd.

I saw that you were trying to do a night ride up there and gave up the idea so I thought why not a day ride. I'm open anytime tomorrow. What time were you thinking? We should be fine without lights as long as we hit trabucco by 7.15 pm.
