It's so true. I deplaned at LAX (from Hawaii) and ran into 3 girls I went to Bancroft Jr. High with. Many friends/acquaintances got strung out on drugs while I was in college. When I got home after 4 years, I couldn't believe the devastation in people's lives. Never understood why "the city of tomorrow" was such a drug haven. Nowadays, I focus on my childhood of playing softball in Del Valle Park, synchr. swimming at Pat McCormick, cheer at LKWD HS, pop warner, etc. when I'm driving through LKWD
