I don't claim to be the most versed in suspension design and such, but why does the shock reservoir look like an oil filter off an old John Deere tractor? Is it replaceable or changable to tune the shock?

Nice find on a Turner frame though.

All Avalanche shocks have an industrial look to them. Very nice shock though! I rode one on my Pack for a while.
