So. Cal Riderz,
I'm in the market shopping for a decent ride again. I really like the Santa Cruz, Ellsworth, Specialize Epic and possibly the 2007 Trek Top Fuel if it's any good? It would be nice to hit the trails on the weekends and commute to work as well. All around purpose. I'm a very aggressive XC rider for sure. What I need? Disk Brakes, Medium Size Frame. Decent component group " XT or Sram X7 " 9 speed XC ride. Travel 3" 4" would be ok. No Judy Forks for me. I've broke too many in the past. Fox would be nice. Rear and Front lock out ability. If you or someone else has a clean ride for sale please shoot me a email. I'm in Mira Mesa San Diego. Appreciate it! |

Have you checked out the market place forum here for anything still on sale?
Another good option is craigslist for bikes under both San Diego and Orange County. Don't forget that a few bike shops are having huge sales this weekend. JensonUSA Parking Lot Sale (9/8 at 9 am) - Ontario, CA The Path Back to School Sale (9/9 10 am to 5pm) - Tustin, CA Incycle is also having a sale at their 3 locations. You should be able to find something in your price range at Jenson or the Path this weekend. |

I just bought a new FS and will be selling my old one. Its a 2003 KHS FXT pro. All xt/xtr drive, 2006 marz 100-120 fork, carbon bar, rock shox rear shock 4.5 inches, wtb saddle, generic seatpost x 2, etc...
Its only seen xc riding in socal for the last 4 years. Other than that, go to The Path, Adrenaline Bikes, or Bicycles Discovery for the best prices. Good luck. |

Thanks for the quick responses! This So. Cal MTB site is really going to work out well. I'll be sure to take everyone's advice about the sales and Craiglist up North.
Peace Out and Enjoy the ride this weekend... I'll catch up sooner or later. EDDie San Diego ) |
