Frameset only for sale: medium black 2006 Turner RFX w/DHXc 5.0, orginal seat collar and new Turner head badge that was never installed.

This bike has been built since Sept 06. The frame is in really great shape. Some very minor cable rub and scratches... no major dents or paint chipping.

I am going to have the frame torn down soon, so if you would like to take it for a test/demo ride and you live/work in southish OC let me know before I do [should be within a week]

$1150 obo.

PM if you have any questions. I'd be glad to answer them.

thanks.

yeah it's not far off... so I'd like to sell it before the new on comes in. The way it's currently built up, it's kinda close to my Highline so I am attempting to build this a bit lighter. So I may have to sell the fork [06 66Light ETA] as well.

I believe we do have the same size and color. I'll give it a few days here on STR before posting it on MTBR classifieds and Homerville.

Why get rid of a perfectly designed frame for a "girlie" '07?

I know you can never have too much beef... but in my garage there is. Sold the 5Spot to the Godfather so I need a lighter XC/AM version of the RFX. I could just order up a pRP23 for her and put some lighter rubber on. Which I probably might do if I can't sell it

Fo you've started a nice little thread there in the Turner forum You can come borrow my HL to see if you like.

I have been thinking about this Franky... the new Zoke 55 is nearly 1.5lbs lighter, a RP23 would be another 1lb i think, and swap out the front 2.5 BG to a 2.35... I could be in about ~32lbs, perhaps even slap on my XTR cranks for the Hones... but I am totally digging that raw finish I have on order!

If you can tell the difference between 32 and 34lbs or 34 and 36lbs while riding the old RFX I'll pay for the new one. If you can't however, I get the HL frame. Let me know if your interested.

I bet I probably could have before I got the SS bug [diff would have been closer to 5lbs i think - and you forget how slow of a climber I am ]... I have been riding the SS exclusively during the week and I find myself getting stronger on the climbs and my stamina in getting better. So I have been really thinking about whether I "need" to do this for the weight factor. Something that got me thinking about this was... I have never been able to clean Cholla on my Highline and I haven't yet, but last Sat I only dabbed once cuz my rear wheel lost traction. So I think I am getting stronger and the need for a lighter bike is probably not really justified. But hey UGI is a disease... I want that RAW frame/color, the new rockers, the asym chainstays and the new bike euphoria

If I can't unload this, so be it. I will just wait and hope that the Sultans get the asym chainstays next year as I am really diggin this 29er thing...

Default Terminal UGI

Yeah, I stay awake at nights thinking about selling my 5 Spot buying a Highline, swapping my Dirtbag components onto the Highline, selling my Dirtbag frame and buying a new Dirtbag and putting the spot's components on it with a 66sl. Selling my Turner buying a Turner selling my Transition buying the same Transition doesn't make a lick of sense, but somewhere in the nooks and crannies of my UGI infected brain it's completely logical.
