Default Roach '06 pads on sale at Jenson!!! I got some!

I went by Jenson on Saturday after getting an email. Roach pads, which were pretty highly regarded around here, are on sale at Jenson. I got a set of leg armor (FR) and arm armor (also FR) out the door for about $83. I saw the price tag on the leg armor was regularly $75 so I think it's a killer deal. I rode with the armor today and it is fairly comfortable. For armor. And, of course, I crashed and landed on my hip. The armor wasn't touched!

Anyway, since Jenson supports this website, I thought people should know. With summer rides coming up (the Plunge) and lots of newbies, I thought some new armor might be in the cards for people.

You're welcome!

Oh, and upon further review, it appears that the pads actuall *did* save me from some injury. The elbow pads both had little scrapes on them from rocks. So, thanks Roach!

Oh yeah, interestingly, it seems like the leg armor was giving me cramps in my calves. I had to keep the straps pretty loose. I hope they stretch out a little in time. The cramps went away as soon as the armor was off.

ia hve both the elbow and leg (FR) like the elbows more that any others out there, butmy only complaint about the legs is the very top strap that goes above the knee. my thighs are in no way big enuf to fill the strap on an XL.. so the to ppart of the pad caught on the stem while pedaling..but other than that the shins where covered like no othere and super comfy

Hey Glen, what size did you get? I see that they don't have small listed and from looking at the size chart I think I might need a small. Maybe I can check the out or better yet have Jared bring some home for me to try on. (he lives right across the street from me)

cyclecc, let me know if you find some good knee pads in a small. I need a set for my gf asap.

George, why did you link the jenson site through share? Is that how STR gets credit for the link through? Since I don't understand computer speak, please keep the answer in simple terms.

Believe it or not, I bought the XL arms and the L legs. And, as you know, I'm little! 5' 8". But, my leg muscles are freaking massive! The length didn't seem to change much from one pad to the next, but the strap length did. The L legs seem a tad long for me, but they fit the best overall. The arms fit just fine, though.

Been riding with Roaches for a few months. The upper strap on the leg will loosen up over time. It took me about a month of good riding to get them comfortable to where I didn't notice tham anymore. Since then, buttah.....

Yes, and I've seen those massive legs in action.

Thanks for the info, I'm ok in the arm department, but I think I would have to try on the legs to get a better idea of the fit.

Thanks again.

Default Try these

Fox Ventilator Knee/Shin Guards at Price Point

Fox Comp Elbow Guards 2007 at Price Point

I bought these for my wife who doesn't ride that much, so the price was right & they fit well, she's about 5 7 ish. First day out she fell 4 times, which the pads helped with, but she brusied both hips. Now it's going to take me another month to get her to ride again
