Backcountry, which is run by the Steepandcheap people, has a sale on these old-school Razorblades. I got the neon yellow for $55 including shipping. The price was a little higher yesterday, so maybe if you wait long enough, they'll be even cheaper. Or maybe they'll even end up on SAC.

I have some of the original ones I bought back in 1987 - hardly wore them as back then they cost me a fortune and all my paper round money! LOL!

I'm frantically trying to find a picture of Kerry King wearing those glasses, but my google foo is really sucking bad today. He used to wear the crap out of those back in the day. Please, somebody post a picture of him.

i had a pair of those, blue with gray arms, i was in 7th grade (87') getting of the bike trail, and some ****** said, "hey, someone back there wants you." and i looked in the direction and he ripped them off my face, he was much older and had a buddy with him....so, i was bummed out and that was the last i saw of my oakley razorblades.

My Dad's company sold screws to Oakley back then.
He was going there one day and I asked if he might be able to get me a discount.
He came home with some Blades a couple of months before they were released. I didn't know what to think of them.

I remember sporting the Black Blades

with my Swatch watch my brother brought me from Switzerland. It was an ugly watch but you couldn't find them here in the states. I was such a dork...
