For those of you who didn't get that this was a joke and that somebody else posted it under my name ... ahahahahahahahahahah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry! I love my bike and wouldn't part with it for ANYTHING! Reba fork, disk brakes, lx + xt parts, light frame ... aaaahhhhh
Although there's a grain of truth in it, because I'll be putting a road cassette on my s-s soon, so I can pedal downhill and not have the whole "chain falling off the damn tensioner" problem. It'll no longer be an s-s bike! I'm a sell-out. :-( I kinda like doing DH on my hardtail ... if I get super-serious about it and have a chance at pro or something, then I'll get a downhill bike. For now, I'm just gonna race dh on the hardtail. That way, I'll learn the skills quicker. But thanks for the offer! I think Marins are super cool, especially since they were Marla Streb's first sponsor! |

It'll have a rear mech on it so it'll be a 1x9.
Personally I can't believe someone would log in with Sarah's ID and post something like that - dispicable!

You crazy kids. If this mtbr I think one of you would have had your acct. suspended by now.
1X9. Make sure you still run a Front Derrailleur with the limit screws adjusted so it doesn't move. I think you'll have a lot of problems with throwing the chain without the FD cage to guide the chain. If you're running a road cassette, and 1X9 setup at least you can run a super short chain which will help. Maybe even use a short cage RD too. Carl |

, you can setup the FD to act like an upper chain guide but that would mean puttin the cables and shifters back on as well. an obvious disadvantage to having one "do all" bike

You can probably just use the limit screws on the FD w/out having to put the front shifter/cables on. You might need to Ace hardware and get some longer limit screws though. |
