The Trico cases are rock solid. If you fly with it you will most likely get dinged. If you tell them it's sports equipment you might get by, but as soon as you mention the word bike, pull out your wallet.

I have a hard shell case for sale fork mount on wheels used twice. It is a velo safe II , can hold 2 bikes. There are some listed on ebay check out what it looks like. The best by far.
