WTB: Hand held GPS (WTB)

Hello all, I'm looking for a good hand held GPS device to use while hiking/back packing.

Not looking to spend a fortune but willing to spend enough to get something of good quality that will last. I would like something that will allow me to down load my routes to geo ladders/google earth.

Any recommendations?

i do a lot of hiking, and have used the garmin 60CSX for a little over a year of heavy use and cannot say enough good things about it. great handheld mapping unit, top of its class. great choice, if it isn't overkill for you. i prefer these over the touchscreen/iphone-esque models that seem to be the trend more and more, such as the colorado, oregon, etc.

nevermind, not on sale anymore.

Walmart had the Vista HCx on sale for 149.

You can probably find one for 199.

It's pretty good for the money. Works well for bikepacking as well.

I got the Garmin Colorado 400t. I thought at the time it was way too much money, but a buddy told me, hey, it only needs to save your life once to pay for itself.

I was hunting in PA this year and got completly lost. It really saved my life. While a lot of dough, it is easy to use and has a lot of great features. I ride with it all the time to track my distance, time, etc.
