^^ that looks good but i dunno the weight on those...i'd like to try and keep my bike around the same weight and saint stuff usually pretty heavy. Plus i'm a little guy at 145lbs with my pack so i need to keep the rotational mass down
i'm mostly just looking for a front wheel Last edited by andino; 01-22-2007 at 04:20 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

The DTs were the only thing I saw that is fairly light but good. If you can find a rim that is laced to a hope bulb or pro hub that would be ideal because Hopes are convertable from QR to 20mm. It takes about 3 min to do the switch

That will be a nice wheel, but as far as the rim goes you may want to consider something like the Mavic 819 since it is a UST rim which makes is a bit more versatile and is also a bit wider than the 317 if I'm not mistaken. However if being as light as possible is your priority then the 317 is a good rim, I've run those before with no problems at all.

i'm considering the 819 but i don't plan to go tubeless so i don't really wanna pick that up. I guess it would be a good investment in case in the future i decided i would. Also, what is the difference between the different spoke patterns? i.e: 1 across, 2 across, 3 across, radial.
Thanks, Andy |

Hey ive got your wheelset for u. Brand new mavic 317 rim hand laced to an xt rear and a rockymountain carbon 20mm hub up front. This is coming off of my new bike which i havent received yet. Should be coming in the next week or so(i hope). If your interested send me a pm so i can work out pricing(cheap). Also it could be sold as a package deal w/irc mibro tires 2.25,tubes,and a sram 970 cassette. Once again everything will be brand new.

I love my hope hubs, and I have a set mavic 317 and they have been pretty reliable.
