Default Looking for a new front wheel

Hey everyone...i'm looking for a new front wheel for my SJ. Only thing is i'm picking up a Pike and it uses a 20mm TA. So i'm looking for a front wheel or a full wheelset for around 150 or 175.
Thanks,
Andy

^^ that looks good but i dunno the weight on those...i'd like to try and keep my bike around the same weight and saint stuff usually pretty heavy. Plus i'm a little guy at 145lbs with my pack so i need to keep the rotational mass down

i'm mostly just looking for a front wheel

The DTs were the only thing I saw that is fairly light but good. If you can find a rim that is laced to a hope bulb or pro hub that would be ideal because Hopes are convertable from QR to 20mm. It takes about 3 min to do the switch

I built a custom wheel up from the Path with Hope Pro 2 hubs, black alloy nipples, mavic 317d rim, and 14gauge spokes. It came out to $164. I think i may just get that. Any suggestions? Good, bad, decent wheel?
Thanks

Just Do It. I love my hope hubs, and I have a set mavic 317 and they have been pretty reliable.

That will be a nice wheel, but as far as the rim goes you may want to consider something like the Mavic 819 since it is a UST rim which makes is a bit more versatile and is also a bit wider than the 317 if I'm not mistaken. However if being as light as possible is your priority then the 317 is a good rim, I've run those before with no problems at all.

i'm considering the 819 but i don't plan to go tubeless so i don't really wanna pick that up. I guess it would be a good investment in case in the future i decided i would. Also, what is the difference between the different spoke patterns? i.e: 1 across, 2 across, 3 across, radial.
Thanks,
Andy

I think i may just pick up a Talas RLC for a new fork instead of the Pike but i'm not sure yet. Can anyone give any recommendations?
