I wasn't going to say anything but since the cat's out of the bag, I shed a little tear over it. I also threw up in my mouth a little bit.

Who woulda thunk it?

Damn craig, you've been on a roll. Apparently he's assuming it won't sell till after he gets and tries the SS and will cancel the sell if he doesn't like the SS as much as he thinks he will.

But yes . . . very surprising

dangit chappy!!!

i guess its hard to explain, but i just want to try something different for awhile. i know the s/s thing is going to kick my ass for a bit, but no pain no gain, right? i'm also kinda feeling lucky that i haven't eaten sh!t really hard yet doing the type of riding that some of us do. so, i decided to put the Huckler up for sale. my 29er s/s should be arriving in the next week and a half or so. i've been doing alot of research on them the past couple of weeks and am really excited to throw a leg over the new Rig (pun intended). I've contacted a few of our resident s/s'ers on here and they've been giving me really good advice, and I really appreciate their input! i think it will be fun to ride the same trails that i did on my Huckler on the 29er, it will really be a challenge to negotiate some of the more technical trails, but i'm looking forward to seeing how the 29 inch wheels handle the terrain.

all that being said, here is a link to my ad:

I heard a rumour about this very same thing at the top of four-corners. I suppose we all need a send-off ride much akin to Lance's farewell.

Hittin' the road gap at Santiago Oaks before the bike goes in a box? If Bret does it I will

Have you thought of parting it out Bret? You may be able to get more interest.

Hey Gabacho,

What happens if you find that 29in ain't for you?
That's a very purdy bike and will sell quick.
Why not have 2 in the stable?

Switching from a 5+" trail bike to a (rigid?) SS hardtail will be more of a drastic change than the 26" to 29" part.

what's the new ride going to be??

I got to agree with Mr. Freak. I ride my Niner and you can't get me off it. Then I get on my 5-Spot and you can get me off that. I like riding them both.

I rode my Niner one day in Sedona...I totally enjoyed it. But to ride 20+ miles a day on rigid singlespeed on a week long road trip?

That's easy. Because:
1. I have always wanted a Heckler
2. That is a sweet build, and most importantly
3. You can never have too many bikes

That being said, it is way over my head price-wise right now. But a dood can dream.
