You won't be able to stick a helmet in the compartment but might be able to find a way to attach it to the outside. The older model MULE's were easier to attach things like pads and helmets because they had bungees.

check out the dakine nomad, i just picked one up to replace my old mule. i ended up having to use the camelbak water bladder since the dakine one leaked right away
![]() it has straps for leg armor, a strap system for a full face and a ton of storage space. performance has them on sale right now |

i have nomad as well and like it. A bit heavier than the CB blowfish (a few years old) i was using before but appears more durable and has straps and pocket for helmet and armor. took a few rides to break in the back padding but once "flexes" up it's all good

Let me run right out and pick one up! FWIW, the HAWG has straps on the side to put leg armor. It won't hold a full-face helmet, though. Seems to me if you're riding far enough that you don't want to wear the helmet then you should probably get a lighter helmet and ride more carefully. Or, maybe I should just f**k off.
