Default Performance: Pasadena

I made a stop to the new Performance in Pasadena during lunch out of curiosity. The store is much smaller than the Fountain Valley location and parking is a premium because it's located in a busy strip mall. I wasn't impressed with their selection of mtb clothing. They had a few items for xc but nothing for FR or DH. Their mtb tire selections were minimal. They did have a big selection of roadie clothing, tires, & accessories.

Not a surprise really. Since taking over from Supergo, their selection on anything has been dismal at best. I used to frequent FV and Laguna but not anymore. Always dissappointed when i go to their stores.

Well, I think the pasadena store is aimed at the roadies. Very small selections to the Moutaineers or maybe they havent got all their stock in. But the store looks fully stock though. Sucks.

Some Performance Bikes are better than others, Personally, the smaller non-chain shops kick arse.

This sounds exactly like the JAX off of Bellflower & Spring in Long Beach, that has got to be the worst shop that I've ever been to when it comes to mt. bikes & accessories.

I used to work by the airport and would stop at Jax on occasion. I think I bought some tire levers. Performance is worse than Jax for mtb if you can believe that.

Armando, when did you start working there?

I stopped by during lunch and picked up a couple baggies for 50% off.
