Stinkin' must be present to win raffles. They're just not fair. Besides, you're a egg beater guy anyway Von-Skipp. And if you were a SPD guy, you'd be running 959's, not those 2 gram heavier 540's.
This post is nothing more than a shameless thread bump. |

BTW: I'm just a stubborn bastard and have used Time pedals since day 1 of mtn biking so I don't know any better and I'm positive that Shimano pedals are far superior ![]() |

I'd like to try some eggbeaters or candys. Big problem though. They offer too many models of each. I can't buy the c's because if I like the style, then I'll have to ditch them quick to get something higher end (c's are way beneath me - i'm full xtr turner boy). I also can't buy something higher end to start with, because if I hate them, I've wasted money.
If I did try and like the eggbeaters, I'd have to run those "beater blockers". They're a flat plate that fits under the cleat that is designed to protect the bottom of your shoe and keep the pedal bars from wearing grooves into them. I thought I saw a picture of them on eBay, but I haven't found any auctions for them. While looking on the CrankBrothers website, the first page shows the new smarty. At least Richard Simmons, or Biker Fox, will be stoked that they can match their pedal color to their scarves. |

"Beater Blockers", eh? I need a set of those....
That has been my one complaint about the egg-beaters is that they gouged out the bottom of my shoe. But it took awhile with lots of riding and I've heard it happens to other brands as well, so what can ya' do? |
