Default WTT 9 Speed Cassette for F. Derailleur

I have nine speed XT cassette (760 model from last year).......that I can trade or (sell
) for a front d. triple. I need a clamp style. I am not sure of my tube width now cause I am at work. Hoping to keep it local to make it easier.

Please let me know if anyone is interested.

Since you are saying you need a clamp style, is it safe to assume this is for a road bike? If not, do you need a top or bottom swing/top or bottom pull? Not that I have any, but just in case some else does, these are things they would need to know.

Sorry, (I am learning as I go) It is for my Giant Yukon MTB, 2004. Tha cable comes from the top down to the derailleur. My current one attaches to the BB and is to short for the largest chainring.

thanks

That's a start. Now is the clamp above the rest of the derailleur (cage) or is it near the middle? So does it look more like a "L" shape or more of a "T" shape?

Mine does not currently have a clamp. It is an E-style(I think thats what Shimano calls it) It attaches to my BB so I can move it up or down.

My bad. I totally forgot about those little buggers. I'll have to look up an image of your bike to see which type it can take.

With a 27.2 seatpost and aluminum seat tube, I'd wager it'd be a 31.6.

Looks like you can run either a top or bottom swing derailleur. I'm sure someone with better knowledge will chime in if I'm wrong. Good luck on your search.

thanks everyone for the information. I ended up picking up a shimano deore derailleur from Pasadena Cyclery this afternoon. The final diameter was a 34.9.

I made this entirely harder than what it ended up being!

Usually hard tails will use top swing like I have on my Giant XTC and my Rocky Mountain Revelation. Using a bottom swing(like most FS use), the clamp interferes with one of the bottle mount screws that's mounted to the seat tube.
