Not to be disagreeable, but if I remember correctly, everyone dogged a certain bike shop for posting sales, calling it SPAM, and Chainlove gets a sticky?

Just an observation in fairness.

On that note, why would STR have an "official" chainlove thread at all? I would eliminate the middleman and check chainlove directly, or add their widget.

Just saying, they're limited items so an extra STR thread seems superfluous.

As the marketplace moderator I decided to name it the "Official" thread so 453 threads with Chainlove items don't pop up.

The threads are here to post the deals that people stumble upon from time to time. Just like the Steep & Cheap thread is "Official".

Is it that big of deal? As far as I know, employees of SAC and CL don't post here, so lets not open the can of SPAM worms again, that has been dealt with already. Besides, most of the LBS's we love and support will post a new thread when they have a big sale, or a monthly sale...its all good!

Thanks.

Ya, I was wondering the same thing. In the comments section on the check-out form, I asked if I could get Large gloves and and XL shirt. We'll see what happens.

Default No Love for the Chainlove

Not real happy with the 2 oakley road jerseys that I bought from Chainlove. Sure the price was great, but the sizing is really weird. I ordered an L and was worried it might be a little small, as sometimes I wear an XL. The shoulders fit fine, but this jersey is long enough to be a skirt and baggy enough for someone with a huge belly. No wonder Oakley couldn't sell these in a store...this seems like its made for someone 7' tall and with a 50" waist.

So, word to the wise, some of the deals here may be too could to be true...certainly was in this case.

got an email from them

Chainlove is setting aside 4 hours this Tuesday (tomorrow) from 10am to 2pm exclusively for Road Junkies and 4 hours this Wednesday from 10am to 2pm exclusively for Mountain Bikers. Now you can tune in to what you want and avoid seeing those high-friction knobbies or the lycra-bibbed plum smugglers if you really don’t want to. And for those of you who love everything related to two-wheeled travel, we’re keeping the deals flowing nonstop every hour in between. Tune in for your pleasure.

They only have one deal at a time. Once it's gone you'll have to wait until it comes back, if it does. I know I've seen most of the deals come back at least twice.

Just to let anyone who is considering these know. They actually do come with 8" 6-bolt Shimano rotors even though they are listed as rotors sold seperately. I ordered a set last time there were up and the rotors were burried underneath the direction but they are definately there.
