Hey, Looking to get back into the world of RC cars, but my old one needs too much money to get back up and running. Anyone got a stadium truck (1/10 scale) or a buggy (1/8 scale) they are looking to sell for a good price to a good home? Just checking here before I go buy a new one. I use to have the hpi mt but I can never find parts for it anymore and my motor is dead and my servos are all junked and I am missing a bunch of parts.

i would buy a new one .. used will usually cost you more in the long run due to worn out bearings u didn't know, cracked arms u missed out, belts cracking, spurs worn out, etc. Ultimate Hobbies has the cheapest parts in Socal. as far as I know. Its down in orange but worth the drive.

I've got a Losi 8ight buggy, all new plastic with one race day on it. All the options as of last August when I got picked up by Kyosho.
I'll throw in a couple race servos, you'll need an engine and radio equipment. $300

I just started putting some of my servos, starter box and all my RC stuff on ebay but still have most of it at home, way too much to list but I've got two complete Team Xray XB8-EC's with 1 race on them each, plus modified engines etc, a brand new EBMod v-spec, Futaba 3PK with Fasst, starter box, car carrier fuel and basically everything you need to be a competitive racer...
If interested PM me. |

I am looking at spending maybe like 300 max on something. Something relatively new with easy to find parts. I don't need a fancy racer truck or anything, just want something that I can jump that wont break into a million pieces if it lands hard. I will probably get a new one because I got a couple of rebate cards that need to be spent

I have Savage .25 with the Ford body, used about 2 tanks, with the HPI Kawasaki rider and ATV body, starter, 2 cans of Nitro, never opened, and more, ie, plugs, tools, parts and more for $300 plus shipping.
All the extra parts are from my first Savage .21 and I also have Nitro heli and a nice tube chassis rock crawler. Ali Quote:

The mistake I see many make is to start reinforcing their rigs from the outside in. They start with beefy a-arms and tie-rods only to realize that they will now start breaking chassis', servos and other more expensive parts that also take more time to repair. Parts will break. Carry spares. The better you can drive them, the less parts you will break. Electrics have their drawbacks too, but electric RC cars will require less maintenance, but many are willing to put up with the extra work to hear that gas motor wind up. If you want something that flies through the air easily right out of the box, it sounds like you're headed for a gas powered vehicle and all that goes with it. I have a couple of gas powered Losi 1/10th scale trucks (XXXNT) I wouldn't mind selling. If you are interested in one, let me know. |

Very good advice when getting into the hobby you will spend some money on repairs. it is just part of the learning curve. If you are looking for big jumps and durability on bad landings I would look into a monster truck. they seam to holdup the best on hard landings.

Nitro is costly. I run a Mugen 5t and sometimes my old GT1 ST. If you want to get back into RC there's a new car from traxxas that is exploding into a new class that is super easy on the wallet. http://www.traxxas.com/products/elec...1_1024x768.jpg
There is big turnout's at Pegasus Hobbies on Sat night. Something close to 15+ slashes turned out last weekend and you got to keep the motor and electronics stock but run what ever Tx/Rx you want. I am also considering selling my GT1 no motor with starter box and a lot of tires and spare parts. I'll try to shoot u some photo's if you are interrested just PM me. Oh and yah I'm a rc nerd with no time for rc.
