Edit- Ok, here is an explanation after giving myself the jackass award... I stumbled on this frame on Ebay one morning last week and just couldn't pass it up. I had every intention of building it up as it is a frame I have wanted since I first saw them. After i bought it I reallized there were other things higher on my priority list since i already have an 07 Enduro SL which is squarely where this one would fall and i love that bike also. My buddy suggested i sell it and use the profit to partially fund the 29'er SS i was looking for (and just bought). Great idea except I already posted on STR what a great deal i got on the Yeti because I had no intention of selling it. Well it was suggested to me that no one would care because it is still an awesome price "win win". Please note that i do not buy to sell anything, in fact i am usually the one getting ripped off but this had logic in that it is brand new and still a killer deal. So please go easy and if you actually want it cool...if not i am not going to bump the post, and i will either list it on Ebay or keep it and build it when the funds are available.
For Sale- Brand new-never built 2008 YETI 575 Full carbon Rear DHX 5.0 LARGE specs can be found here: www.yeticycles.com/#/ourrides/ Retail $1850+tax=$2000 SOLD

I wouldn't be a very good capitalist at $930 would I? But still a much better deal then 2k. Win win, fault me not. I figured i would see if anyone wanted it at a great price, otherwise I will throw it back on E-bay.

well...i will say that I would be SHOCKED if anybody gives you more than you paid for it on eBay. at least anybody around here that is aware of the circumstances. I will give you $750 for it as that is definitley the most a frame with 2 previous owners should get...and $1300 is quite insane to be honest and to the person who does give you $1300, i have a bridge i would like to interest them in...

OK, point taken...Last statements on this topic
1. If I had won it in a raffle to which eveyone knew i got it for free, should I offer it for free? 2. Since when is it wrong to try and make money honestly especially considering I told everyone what i paid for it in the first place, it was no secret. 3. It seemed to me at the end of the day and after checking prices everywhere on NEW 575 frames this is still way under what you could possibly get it for. 4. I thought postings in the market place were for people who were interested in buying, not tearing me a new a-hole for something that is completely legitimate. 5. lastly...sell me the bridge then because if i was in the market for a 575 decked like this one and prepared to buy it new i wouldn't hesitate to buy this and save $700.

SIK - I'm sure most of us are just fooling around. Don't take it too hard. Sorry if you took it the wrong way.
It just seemed odd that you posted your eBay score just 5 days ago, and then we see this For Sale ad while your original post was still fresh in our heads. I just hope we don't see that sweet KM you just scored go on sale for $1100 next week! |
