Does he have any pictures that you could post? Are you sure it's not a CB, instead of a CV?

The first CR 125 was a 1973 model. One of my coworkers was the very first test rider in the US to ride that bike. His thumbs-up helped give Honda it's first go in the US market with a legit motocrosser.
If it's a 1970 model, it's likely a CB125.

Yep, that is in fact a 1970 CB175K4.
Noting that the bike has been stored outside with the airbox missing , has me greatly concerned. Seeing that the carburetors are open and fully exposed, I'm betting things aren't so good inside the engine. I'm going to have to pass on this one.
