Default WTB: att or cing phone. yes, again.

while at work this past week my phone got busted. some of you might remember me asking for a cing/att phone a while back, well that was due to water damage. this recent phone fatality was due to a violent patient that needed to be tackled then tazed. i landed on it in the struggle. broke it to pieces. looking for something cool, with reminders, calender, maybe MP3 and a memory card? let me know what you have, even if it doesn't meet the above criteria. thanks in advance guys, much appreciated. will come pick up ASAP. contact me.

I know you might be in a rush to replace but AT&T should have the Blackberry "Bold" out soon. I currently use a Blackberry Curve and while it hasn't encountered anything like what you described I can say that they do hold up to quite a bit of abuse.

I wonder what kind of deal AT&T would make you if you agreed to a 1 or 2 year commitment. I know my account is corporate but were getting the Curves at $99 with the 2 year. That and you could always switch carriers.

yes. You can release the number to whomever you wish.

AT&T: good coverage, cust service ok
T-Mobile: fair coverage, so so cust service
Verizon: good coverage mationally but challenges if you go international. cust service ok
Sprint: fair coverage but cust service is amazingly bad

If your not too picky...you can always go on Ebay and get a used Razr or older Blackberry for around 50.

T-Mobile: so so customer service? we've won JD Power's customer service award for a wireless carrier 7 times now. we're put verizon to shame and they tout to have the best customer service.

Coverage is another thing, every quarter there's a telephia drive test where they bench mark all the carriers and drive around socal. We come out ahead...our region approach 300 MOU's (minutes of use) before a disruption on a call. not bad eh?

if you're thinking about switching do a coverage check. at my company their personal coverage check is pretty darn accurate http://www.t-mobile.com/coverage/ plug in your address where you live and work etc and you can see if it's right for you. Most carriers claim they have bars all over etc but if the bars arent where you work and play etc what's the point.

Verizon: great coverage mationally but challenges if you go international. cust service great
Sprint: poor coverage and cust service is amazingly bad

Made a couple changes to the above. Keep in mind that I'm an AT&T employee but I still feel that Verizons service is far more superior than the other big 3. Oh, and Verizon just bought Alltel, they are going to be ginormous.

Back on subject, I have a brand new Blackjack II for sale.

t-mobile less than fair? based on what? marketing propaganda? or real drive test data from telephia?

I have friends that work on the engineering side and new site development (new cell site build) and they know how crappy the network has/will be deterioating because ATT (the landline suit) arent giving them the money to do what they need to to keep the network running in tip top shape.
