SOLD!!! 05/06 Kona Coiler FUN bike!
Hey all!
Im thinking of offing my kona. I love this thing... but havent done much 'freeriding' as climbing up and over mountains seems to be my thing lately. So this guy became the ride it to class bike. Its a 19" LARGE, and too small for me too. Anyway, i paid about 1200 for it last year, threw some dollars at it and had a blast. Frame has some scratches, but this bike has only seen like 40% of its potential. I threw some money at some burly azonic outlaw wheels, and it has an upgraded 5.0 DHX shock. Basically a coiler primo. So the specs Marz dropoff triple ( has a nick on a stanchion when i got it) Raceface Cranks Sram X7 shifters and RD Shimano LX fd Azonic Outlaw wheelset (1 or 2 rides on them) Fox DHX 5.0 coil shock Brand new race face BB Hayes nine brakes (8" rotors) Simtra McSkinny Bars Easton vice stem Newish ODI rogue grips Crank Brothers 50/50 pedals. E Thirteen DRS guide (not currently installed but included) MAXXIS DHF front tire 2.5 MAXXIS Mobster Rear tires 2.5 Anyway.... I would love to get 1100 obo for it BUT.. STR gets first stab at it for 900 bucks. as that is what nice stock examples go for on ebay. Here are some pics.

I think a MOD should create a new thread for us to post in about "Tiny" here selling his only real bike so he can go about getting TOP DOLLAR for the BEST BIKE he ever had without us interfering with the sale.
P.S. Aaron, Don't forget to include the extra spring I gave you for it (which I never would have if I knew you were going to puss-out)   |

fred and rick... OUCH!
the bike just feels small for me. Also, i havent ridden it except to class for a long time  fred - i 'payed it forward' with the spring. I needed the 750, someone needed the 700  you guys make me feel guilty....

i hear ya guys. sometimes threads just get way off topic, so i was trying to keep it 'legit' if ya will. i know rockin' and the other bubbs are his friends, and were just givin' him some sh*t for sellin' it.

I have a feeling if i go riding chutes or fontucky, i will keep it.... dont make me do it!

Bought another frame, this needs to go. will go 800 CASH this week only, or off to ebay it goes.

Hey Aaron,
How is that Kona for general trail riding? How heavy is it? I am thinking that maybe I need to go with a 26" bike for my FS needs. My HiFi 29er has a busted wingarm and they want $450 to replace it. If I do it, I might just bust the next one. So, I'm thinking about different bikes that I can ride most trails with and that can handle drops, jumps, etc.. without folding. Thanks, ~R |
