Default 05 Trek 1000-C 54cm, needs some love

This was my "get around town" bike, but I'm building up my cross bike for that. It's an aluminum frame with Trek's "comfort" geometry--longer headtube, more relaxed, upright position, with a stem that has adjustable rise/drop and a suspension seatpost. It has a Sora 8 speed group. From what I understand, this model was replaced by the Pilot.

The bike is in good shape except for one broken spoke on the rear wheel. Also, at one point I replaced the stock generic brakeset with some 105 brakes, which I cannibalized for my road build. The original brakes are on there now, and you'll need to replace the cables. Also, one of the tires is flat, so you'll need a new tube. In spite of that, it's a pretty decent roadie for cheap if you have a replacement wheel or know how to relace and true the one on there now.

$150 takes it. Because of the low price, you definitely need to pick this up. I'll take some pics tomorrow.

Hope someone gets this! Great price and great starter bike. I was doing research just over a year ago on road bikes and while I didn't go Trek (or entry level) I definitely started by checking out the 1000.

Hey Pugz,
I'm between 5'10" and 5'11" with a super short inseam (like 29"). They usually recommend 54s for people shorter than that, but it worked for me cause my lower back can't handle being aero for very long.

Greg, I would venture a guess that it's probably too small for you. For people my height (couple inches shorter than you), they usually recommend a 56 or 58, but because of standover and fitness considerations, I usually ride a shorter bike.
