Default FS: Hope Bulb/Mavic 717/819 wheelset

Alright I tried to offer these to a few riding buddies but nobody would take me up on them, so here they are. These wheels are less than 6 months old, purchased from Jenson USA. I'm selling them because I've just got too many wheelsets. The front wheel is a red Hope Bulb hub (convertable to 20mm), with a Mavic 819 UST rim. The spokes are black Wheelsmith double butted with black brass nipples. Rear wheel is a red Hope Bulb hub and a Mavic 717 rim. Same spokes/nipples as front wheel. These were used on my Yeti 575 so I didn't do any hucks on these The front wheel is nearly immaculate, rear wheel has a couple normal rock chips on the rim but no dings or flat spots at all and both are true. I paid nearly $500 for these wheels, am asking $375 obo. Here are a few pics: (tires, rotor and skewer not included).

Edit: Just looked at my order list from Jenson, paid slightly less than I thought so I'm reducing the asking price to $360.

Man I have a feeling that this is going to be one of those times where I'm kicking myself in the azz for not jumping on this purchase when I had the chance...

That was a pretty nice price for that wheel set. After having gone through two XT hubs my Hope rear hub is still handling my lard butt without a complaint.

Hey Endo, how's that Pike working out for you?

Up until a week ago it was working great. No, it didn't break down on me, if aything it was the most trouble-free fork I've ever owned. I have to say that the Pike is a great fork. The only reason for selling it is that I purchased an air Pike which I like as well. It's nothing like the Fox Float which I had before, I simply disliked the Float and I was leary about buying another air fork.

While I had the coil Pike I never had a single problem with it. I only changed the oil on it once and that's when I swapped out the factory spring; I figured I'd do it since I was working on the fork anyway. I liked the stiffness of the fork and it's adjustability and it definitley is nothing like the Psylo my bike originally came with. I hate to sound like I'm a Rockshox spokesman but it looks like Rockshox is making a good product again.

Haha, when I saw his Yeti thread I though "Lance!" since you always seemed to have an interest in the 575.

Does anyone know what happened to Mike (moochy) ? He ended up getting a 575 also but hasnt been on for awhile.

Congrats on the new wheels, they really do make a difference! I noticed that when I got my new ones (DT Swiss 4.1 and Hope Bulbs).

Right! But first I really should take a cloth and some bio-de-greaser to her to fancy her up for a photoshoot. After all, I don't want to be licking dirt when I take the picture!

Right on Lance! Glad to hear those wheels are working out for you. I will eventually buy a new back wheel. I'm waiting for Rob to clear out some more inventory.

Remember, when kissing your bike, make sure you are kissing the top tube and the drivetrain side is facing the camera (Bike Tongue'n 101).
