Make sure you have the small spacers that fit over the chainring bolts when installing this bashguard. Also, all of the guards I've removed have chainring bolts with a much larger head - I don't know if these are required.

yea i have that exact one, that i was trying to use... and they use wider bolts...
that is why i have been in the hunt for some way to use it... but to no success...
make sure your crankset has the right size, not just bolt pattern. if you can't find any, let me know...
i think you may need this bolt setup... but i am not sure if this will work on any other cranksets... beside the m800 crankset... i may order and try it out on my lx crankset just for kicks...

You know I had heard that, but the sales guy @ Beyond Bikes said you could use the same bolts of the large ring. Hmmm...guess you can't trust those guys eh PacMan?![]()

yea, i have the bash guard, i tried to make it work with my lx crankset, the holes are alot bigger on the bash gaurd.
i was thinking the saint chainring are wider? i was under the impression the saint chainring bolts are wider to accomodate this? may be the head is bigger or something like 2wheelee said...
but, for my lx crankset, the regular chain ring bolts are too small for my shimano bash gaurd... so maybe more reseach is needed...
faded, where you using the small aluminum spacers? The spacers - or I should say reducers - reduce the hole size to the size of the chainring bolts.

Best of luck, I wound getting rid of mine because of this. Path has em, but I used a different bash with the stock bolts.
thanks i'll check w/ the path.
special bolts seem like a lot of work and inconvenience to install a bash guard.
