Thinking about selling my RIP9. Great bike but need to get a commuter and not much space in the garage. Since I can't part with my SS and my 6x6 Chumba EVO so guess this baby has to go. Asking 2500 for the whole bike or make me an offer for the frame.
Here is the parts list. 2007 Niner RIP 9 frame in good condition with RP23 plus big air can upgrade! Chris King headset red White brother magic 110 fork with IMV Hope pro2 hubs laced to Velocity Blunt rims(28mm at 680g!) XO shifters and rear deraileur XT front deraileur(5 rides) Travative Stylo team X type crank set.....5 rides Thomson stem and post SRAM 980 cassette Exiwolf tires older XT brakes That's all I can think of for now. I can swap the brakes out with a set of 08 red Marta SL 180 front and back with carbon levers got couple small scratches on them almost brand new...only at $2600 though. Sorry just remembered how much I paid for them.

If you are really seriou about buying it I can hold it for you. I'm in no hurry to sell it, just got a Bianchi San Jose as a commuter so for now I'm leaving my car out side. But like to move my car back in soon. ![]()

I broke one twice and the other one once. The third one didn't fit at all and it was custom. The Niner rides better to me than any of them. Or any kiddie wheeled bike for that matter. You can pick up a cheep commuter bike on eBay!

I actually just picked up a Bianchi San Jose from Path as a commuter, I like to support good LBS if when I can. We'll see how long it'll last before someone steals it.....got it on home owner insurance though. ![]() The Niner rides nice but I want something with more relaxed Geo, plusher and stiffer. Maybe a Lenz box or Behemoth or if chumba ever come out with a 29er FS frame. Wasn't too impressed with the El Ray, or Sultan both have way high TT, my boys don't like to be that close to a metal tube ....Els Evolve is quite nice but pricey and don't like the super long TT, a short stem can only do so much. So.......we'll see what I'll get for a 29er FS bike next.

Try a 120 or grater fork on the RIP before you give up. You may be surprised.

Yeah I was thinking about that fork. But the rear isn't all that plush, it's not the fork. Even after the big air can upgrade I just can't seem to get to be plush....if I get it kinda plush then there is bob. And even with bob it's not all that plush. Could be just me.
Then again I'm comparing with my Chumba EVO which is like a couch. AND I like the feel of my SS better anyways. I know I'm confused! LOL Too many bike....guess that's a good problem.![]() Any how I might have a buyer already and need the room for my commuter. So we'll see.
