White is the new Red

Alright, lets hear who's got the deals on Gravity Droppers. Not buying now or this weekend. Not looking for used. Not interested in any other adjustable on the fly seat-post. Don't care if you don't like them. Not worried about the added weight.
Just lookin' around for when my tax incentive thingy arrives I know where to go......perhaps The Path Bike Shop? How long does it take to get them in? How much are they?

Expect to pay ~ $200 for a remote model. They only come in 27.2 so you may need a seatpost shim depending on your bike.
I love mine. People sometimes make fun of me but I make fun of them when they stop to lower their seat, climb with their seat down, smash their nuts on their seat because it's up when they're going down. C

I've never understood the GD bashing. It's a pretty ingenious component. Would've been perfect for my recent trip to Utah. I'd probably own one if i wasn't such a cheap bastard.

There was one for sale on craigslist the other day for $150.
I just bought one from gravitydropper.com last month for almost twice that! I don't think you will find it new anywhere on sale, but I could be wrong. Ya its heavy and ugly, but its SOOOO nice to ride!! <- Gravity Dropper |

Ordered my GD direct from GD. $250 with free shipping at the time + no tax.
Remember it only comes in 26.8, 27.0 and 27.2mm. Shim out for other sizes. I have a 31.8 shim if you need it. (coverted to a Maverick on the FS)

I've got one on my Enduro SL and the Epic!
Gotta lov'em. Tried the Mavrick for a while(I think it's the same thing as the crankbrothers, but I could be wrong.), but found them to be too unreliable. Went through 3 Mavrick post within 3 months. All blown internal seals. The Maverick posts does have a smoother more refined actuation compared to the GD's though. I haven't experienced any problems with the GD's yet!Got them both from Rock&Road Anaheim Hills for $250 each! Both came in within a week of ordering! |

We do sell them at The Path, and we keep them in stock. We price them the same as if you buy direct, but after the 10% str discount, and sales tax work out, you get to support us and still save like 2.25% out the door.
Thanks |

I'm always putting my seat down, then raising it up again. I think since I once in awhile get some air (whenever I'm feeling my oats, not very often though), and I can save myself some time I figure I may as well do it while riding.
...awe what the heck, I just want one ![]()

...or so I've been told.

I have one on my SJ...it's a Mavericks and it's awesome
You have to get use to taking a hand off the handlebars and dropping your seat without crashing if you adjust it on the fly....which is a feat in itself for me...but otherwise it's an awesome addition (no blown seals or anything of the sort)
