Default Hardrock Singlespeed Frame, Manitou Minute 2 fork, BB7s, handlebars, etc.

You know those trays they have in the 7-11 that say "Take a penny, leave a penny"? Well, I took a bike from an STR'er so it's time to leave one--or parts of it at least.

First up is an 05 Specialized Hardrock Singlespeed frame, sized large. This is pretty much the Hardrock frame but with horizontal drops, although it still has a dérailleur hanger. The frame has disc mounts only. Included with the frame is the original Truvativ Blaze crankset and a cool blue FSA Orbit UF headset, along with a generic 30.9 seatpost. This is a good way to get into singlespeeding cheap. $150

Next is a Manitou Minute 2:00 air fork with silver lower legs. Steer tube is 7.75", and it has SPV platform valving. Pretty nice fork for small money. $125.

If you want the frame and fork, let's just call it $225.

Don't have pictures for the following items, but if you'd like me to take some, please feel free to ask.

Avid BB7 calipers with generic (Tektro, I think) 160mm rotors. used but in good shape, $50.

OnOne Mary handlebar, used, good shape. $40.

FSA FR270 handlebar, brand new in box, $30.

If you'd like to buy more than one of these things, take $10 off the combined price. Pickup in San Gabriel is strongly preferred. Come ride the San Gabriels and get some new gear at the same time!

Any idea what the frame size would convert to in inches? I am interested, but not sure if it is too tall for me: 5'-9"

I'm around 5'9" and a half and it worked for me. The geometry specs are here:

You might need to visit the Specialized site first and choose your country and all of that before this page loads. If not, look in the Archive under 2005 for "Hardrock" and then Hardrock SS.

It has a 24.2" top tube, which is pretty long for 5'9", unless you have a really long torso/arm combo going.

Here are pics of the Mary bar. It's clean, with a little wear in the clamp area that you can see in the pic. The sumo is included if you want it!

Damn, probably a bit to big for me. I think it would kill my lower back.

Thanks.
