How many miles on that bad boy?

My ladies car was totalled last weekend and this could be a really, really good option for her.

On freeway if your gentle on the gas pedal, your getting about 23-24 MPG, around town its gets about 20 MPG. But to be honest not sure about around town, this thing has been a freeway car for us. I really do love this thing and I'm sad to see it go, its been a great car. But the new kiddo is not loving it, so it goes.

Just my 2 cents. As I work for the Auto Auction, these cars have about a 1 percent failure rate, and that is usually for frame damage. I drove 40 of them yesterday and only one failed, because it was wrecked. Very Reliable.

You forgot to mention a big selling point! By your VIN, I can see it's a 4WD model (they're offered in 2WD as well). Also, although you can see the shift lever in the photo, it's still worth mentioning that it has an automatic transmission (manual transmissions are also popular in the Element). Additionally, in 2006, not all Elements came equipped with side airbags in addition to the driver's and front passenger's airbag. This particular one has side airbags.

We've been wanting to get one. Hmmm, I don't suppose you'd consider a trade? I have a frame and I'll even throw in some tires... Good luck with the sale!

Oh that's tempting. I have a serious case of new(er) car lust, and the Element is on my short list. But we are saving to buy a house, so the car will have to wait. That looks like it is super-clean: Good luck on the sale.

Just out of curiosity: What about it is not baby-friendly? It seems like the ability to hose off the interior would be a big plus with a baby!

The only reason its not "baby friendly" is that the back seats are really far in the back of the car, which isn't a bad thing if your an adult passenger but..... So when the Kiddo is back, he's in his own little world staring at the back of a car seat. When you are driving you are not able to reach him when he starts to cry, so your screwed. But other than that its a great car, we loved it for the last 2 years. But if its not working for our new situation, its got to go, sadly.... I'd like to sell it by the end of month, so if you know anyone thats interested. Let me know. Thanks!

Another thing that may be interesting...Many people want American built products. The Element is produced at the assembly line in East Liberty, Ohio. I don't know the percentage of the main components that are US made, but I believe the percentage is relatively high (the body for sure, and I think the engine and transmission as well).

Here's a picture of two bikes in the back of my Element. One is a large frame and the other is an extra large.

There are multiple tie-downs in the back ... I think I spent about $8 at Wal-mart for the straps.

Hope this helps with your sale.

Yeah good call on the photo, and take the seats out on the side and you can fit even more stuff in. Thanks for all the added help guys. I will miss this car.

That is true, its real close to the Marysville plant that the Accords are assembled.
