Default budget wheels for my build

hi, i am building a new bike as my first bike. i was wondering if anyone had some extra wheels they would like to sell? i am looking to buy some simple wheels to get me started. i am spending the bulk of my budget on my fork, frame, and drivetrain... so, i think i will try to cut corners on the wheels.

i guess my main aspects are, quickrelease... hold 2.1 tire?... straight... fit my bb7 brakes... 26" wheel...

my initial option was probably the xt hub/rinolite wheelset that is alittle over 100... let me know if you have a take off or something used you have laying around that might work for me... thanks!

You can get Deores on Rhynolites for $89 on quite a few sites.

yea, i figured that i would spend about 100 or so on the wheels... just wondering if anyone has a used set...

used $100 wheels usually mean something that's a good portion better then new deore wheels right?

For < $100, I don't think you're going to do significantly better than deore hubs or just get the XT deal you found for a little over $100.

I doubt someone will cut loose with some CK or Hope bits for that much, BUT other than wasting time until your build is finished, it never hurts to ask.

We have some bontrager race disc tubeless wheels, used maybe 10 times. I gotta talk to the wifey about it it, but we (she) doesn't use them, I don't know how much they go for new, but we'd prolly let 'em go on the cheap

*wifey agrees..we don't need the Bontrager Race Disc Tubeless wheels.
By the way, when she was running these we used tubes, but they are tubelss rims..how much do these things cost? They came with the last bike we picked up for her.
