I've been thinking about trying hydraulics.. currently I am running avid bb7's on my Heckler, with 185 mm rotors. i'm assuming I can get adapters to use the juicy's with my current rotors?(I'll still buy the 8" rotors from ya though). I can also get some more brake line if your's isn't long enough, right?

Yep, just get new adapters ($10-15 each) and you're good to go. Hmm, on second thought, you may not even need the adpaters, you can probably just bolt on the calipers and you're good. I'd try that first before getting new adapters.
You can also get new hose lines. That's a pretty good deal for everything. Last edited by Sprockethead; 02-22-2008 at 09:46 AM. |

Yeah, i just realized the brackets I have on for the bb7's will work for the juicy's too. SSinGA, I'm logging out and going to work now (no internet at work) when you see this post, you can call me on my cell# 949-228-1556, or I'll check back here when I get home. I'm pretty sure i want the brakes, just want to ask you a few questions. Thanks, -Gary.

The adaptors on the BB7's might evn work with the juicy?? That black brake line is cheap to get, just remember to get some new crush olives. A good shop like the Path probably stocks them.

Thanks SSinGa for the sweet deal! Looking forward to putting them on the Heck(ler)
Thanks Foo- I realized the adapters I have in place for my avid bb7's will work- avid uses the same rotors and adapters for all their disc brakes. Which bike do you have the juicys on?

Got the brakes today, thanks for the fast shipping! Put them on w/ my new xt shifters. The right brake feels a little soft, but I need to cut the hose shorter & rebleed anyway so it's no big deal. thanks again!
