Thumbs up USED Hope Mono 6Ti Hyro Disc Brakes

Hey guy's, a friend sent these over to me, to put on E-Bay for him.

I thought I'd throw'em on here first.

They came off of his tandem, so the rear hose is pretty long, and will need to be trimmed down, unless you're gonna put then on another tandem.

USED Hope Mono 6Ti Disc Brakes

(From the internet)

The Mono6ti has been developed to be the ultimate in braking technology. It is first bicycle disc brake to feature titanium pistons fitted into a state of the art 6 piston, one-piece caliper. Titanium, as well as being light and very durable, is one of the best materials for insulating the caliper from the heat generated in the pads and disc. The pistons are also coated with titanium nitride to reduce friction with the seals. The single design of caliper uses different brackets to fit current frames and forks. It also uses the Mini lever.

Here's some pics;

I'm not excactly sure what they're worth, so I'm gonna say how about $375 for the set?

If you know anything about these brakes, feel free to chime in.

Indeed these brakes are nice. I don't think they still make them with the titanium pistons...hmmm. Its a pretty sweet set-up. I'm waiting for my tax lady to call me with an amount on my return, so inevitably i am several weeks away at least (iffins I'm getting any moolah back that is)

Hose length very long and it looks like those thing could work on your car, maybe if you have a Geo Metro or a yugo

Sorry, no rotors or mounting hardware(there is mounting brackets on the calipers). Just what's in the pictures.
The front hose measures right around 32 inches, the back I have not measured because it's so freak'n long.
They came off of a tandem, so unless you're putting the back on a tandem, the back line will need to be cut.

Just loop the extra hose, zip tie it to your saddle rail and call it a lasso

I'm tempted to paint them red and stencil brembo on the side. Them mount them with 2piece rotors. HOT!

nice brakes....not sure on how much they are worth, but they are great brakes. if you are a huge 175 lb dude like me, you definitely need that type of modulation too!

Hey Maxwell, those are sweet brakes. What size rotors are the brakes designed for? I'm trying to talk ShugaMama into them. I think they would work great on the Ventana ECDM, but she'll only take 7" in the rear.

I just sent him (the owner) an e-mail to find out rotor sizes he was using. I should know later this morning.

OK, he said he was running 203mm's.
