Arrow DHX 5.0 Coil or Roco Coil 8.5x2.5 (for Nomad)

Hello folks. Anyone have a used DHX-C or Roco coil laying around?

Looking for something in the low $200s. If that seems low throw me an offer.

Whatcha got? PM me if you have an offer.

Much obliged!

Not sure if you are only looking for a coil shock...

if not, then you'll want to call Ventana bikes asap and buy the DHX 5.0 for $250, brand new.

Only Coil. I have a DHX 5.0 Air already. I'll probably sell this or keep it as a back up. Is Ventana clearing out the DHX 5.0 Air or Coils?

Nevermind... it's right there on their homepage: DHX Air. Wah.

Thanks anyways.

I might have a ROCO TST for sale.

I need to test ride my Avy tuned 5th first. I'll PM you if I decide to sell it.

Fantastic Nagaredama! When do you think you'll know? I'm checking out some sales right now and getting an itchy trigger finger... =)

If you don't mind one that's lightly used (~ 6 months) I'm sure I could get competitive with my pricing in order to finance my new shock.

Oh, wait, the Ventana one is a different size than what I've got... nevermind.

I got the 5th back from Avy on Monday and I'll be riding it this weekend.

Another option is contact www.aebike.com. I bought the body (no spring) from them for $260 or so. Their site says $350-something. Just email them and let you know you saw it for cheaper on their site and you would like that price. It worked like a charm for me.

Thanks for the tip.

I just found the 2007 model, in 8.75x2.75 only, on sale at go-ride.com for $229 (shock body only)! It's in the mail. That said, keep me posted on your situation. If you have an 8.5x2.5 that may be a better option though the Nomad can take both.

Oh, and let us know how that Avy upgraded 5th handles. I'd heard of Avy's program but haven't heard much on the performance of those upgraded 5ths. Thanks.

That is a killer deal on the ROCO!

Here are the Avy tuning details.

Damn that is a great deal on a Roco. Do you know how the larger shock effects the Nomda geo? Also have you had a chance to ride the bike with this shock yet? I have been thinking about doing the same thing with my Nomad so I would love to hear your feedback.

I'll get the shock on Friday and try and take it out for a spin over the weekend. Will let you know. Meanwhile, some reading for you from MTBR:

I found these helpful.

Very interesting. Again, can't wait to hear what it rides like. Makes me tempted to pick up that 8.75x2.75 $99 5th from the SCB site and send it over to Avy!
