Thumbs up Bikes (Turners & Kona), Surfboards, Flight & Photo Equipment

Wife says I can buy a new bike if I clear out some of the other toys, so it's time for some house cleaning. Pics available for anything where not already included.

Bikes:

SOLD (thanks to KonaDupee for brokering the deal) - 2004 Turner Burner, size XL. (Top tube is approx 24" from center of seat tube to center of head tube)
Color is silver, and it is in very good shape. There are a few minor cosmetic scuffs, but less than many people get in their first few rides. No dings, dents, or cracks. The biggest flaw is some chainsuck marks on the stay from the original owner: I've never had that problem since I built it in Jan 2007. The previous owner bought the frame new in 2006, but had multiple bikes. All components are 2006 or 2007 pieces that I bought new, are in good shape, and have plenty of life on them. Those who know me here can attest that I maintain my bikes well and am strictly a slow old XC guy (I am pathetically huck-free).

Components are:
RockShox Reba Team fork with PopLock remote lockout
Sram X-9 shifters
Sram X-9 rr der
Shimano XT fr der
Shimano XT crankset & BB
Shimano XT cassette, 11-34t
Shimano Dura-Ace (XTR) chain
Chris King headset
Thomson Stem, 90mm x 5 deg rise
Answer ProTaper low-rise aluminum bars (uncut)
ODI lock-on grips
Hayes Nine brakes (8" fr, 6" rr)
Mavic 717 rims/DT Revolution Spokes/XT hubs (hand built @ Adrenaline)
2.4" WTB MutanoRaptor tire on front
2.3" WTB Prowler tire on rear
Thomson seat post
Your choice of various WTB, Bonty, or other saddles that I have
No pedals (but I have some new cond Shimano's that could be worked into the deal)

Price? I've seen comps at around $1500, but bikes are so subjective...feel free to offer more!

Kona Kula hardtail, size Sm. I think it's a 2000 model year frame, but not positive. Not sure of geometry specs, but it's a good fit for someone in the 5'2"-5"6" range. This bike was a true garage queen: It's belonged to the wives of two mtb'ers, but neither wife ever really got into it, so condition is excellent. I'm not sure there's a single scuff mark on it. Very light, fast bike that could be a good casual ride, a good XC race bike, a good SS conversion, or ??

Components:
Marzocchi fork: Your choice of 2002 100mm or older 80mm version. Both have rebound damping; I think the 80mm also has compression damping.
Shimano XT shifters
Shimano XTR rear der
Shimano XT front der
Shimano Dura-Ace/XTR chain
Shimano XT 11-32 cassette
Sugino cranks
Simano XTR V-brakes
Mavic 217 rims/XT hubs
Chris King headset
Race Face Deus 110 x 5 deg stem
Race Face Evolve low-rise aluminum bars (uncut)
Syncros seat post (or you can have the cheapie suspension post my wife used)
Your choice of various WTB, Bonty, or other saddles that I have
Cheapie platform pedals (but I have some new cond Shimano's that could be worked into the deal)

Condition of this bike is really, really excellent.
Price: ??? Make offer ???

Surfboards:
(sorry - I'm keeping the Stewart longboard)

SOLD - Campbell Brothers Bonzer, custom-shaped, and glassed by the fine folks at Moonlight Glassing with Red-X side fins. Dims are 6'9" length x 12-1/2" nose x 20" wide x 14-1/2" tail x 2-9/16" thick. With a 6/4oz deck and 6oz bottom, and Malcom Campbell's trademark full volume, this is not a lightweight board for a little guy. But if you like your boards to last, and you like to put it on a rail, then this is a solid board for you that can work in good beachbreak but also handles solid reef or point days. The deck is in great shape, and the bottom is clean except for the two dings visible in the pics. The board was dried and the dings repaired with SolarEz: It's watertight and performance is unaffected - they just aren't pretty.

Price: $400 obo, including leash and ProLite padded boardbag.

SOLD (Thanks Gene!) - JN Surfboards Egg, 7'6" length x 21-1/2 width x 3" thickness. It's a fun board for a full-sized guy on small-med days, but also serves great as a longboard for a smaller person, or as a great board for anyone to learn on. Good condition overall - couple minor nicks, but nothing serious.

Price: $300 obo, including leash & canvas daybag.

Flight Gear:

(Two) David Clark H10-60 headsets. Straight cord version for fixed-wing use. Both in great condition - been in storage for several years. Sporty's sells them for $346: Asking $200 each, including storage pouches and fabric ear cushion covers.

Sigtronics Transcom II Intercom. Four-way system. Great condition. Selling for $210 at Sporty's: Asking $125.

I also have some other miscellaneous accessories - a lap board, etc - available, if interested.

35mm Cameras & Lenses:
I used to manage a camera & repair shop. Most of this is stuff that I bought while working there, so everything was either bought new or I picked stuff in the best mechanical condition, even if it had some wear and tear. All equipment is manual focus: No A/F. All lenses are AI, AI-S, or have been AI converted. None are E-series (Nikon's cheaper plastic-body lenses). I love this equipment, but just never put any time or effort into photography anymore (as you can tell from my occasional RR photos)

Nikon FM Body - good mech cond; scratched & scuffed. All-mechanical; a great workhorse that'll keep on working forever.

Nikon FE-2 body - Near new condition. Mechanical with elect shutter release and aperture-prioirity auto exposure; Shutter speeds to 1/2000 sec.

Nikon 50mm f1.4 lens. New condition.

Nikon 35-105 f/3.5-4.5 macro zoom lens. Excellent condition.

Nikon 28mm f/2.8 lens. Older AI-conversion; good condition

Nikon 24mm f/3.5 lens. Older AI-conversion. Good condition.

Tamron 70-210mm f/3.5-4.5 macro zoom lens with Nikon AI Adaptall mount. Very good condition, with small dent on outer ring (but filters still fit). Includes lens hood.

Nikon MD-11 Motor Drive 3.5 frames per second for FE/FM series. Needs repair.

Bogen 3001 professional tripod with tilt head and shoulder strap. Good condition - minor scuffs. An incredibly durable tripod.

Hanimex TZ-855 dual flash with slave feature.

Also have misc filters, straps, bag, etc.
Contact me for prices. I'm willing to sell individually or work out bundle pricing.

Please PM if interested in any items. I'm willing to meet serious local buyers in OC, south LA county, or north SD county. Will consider shipping (at my cost - no markup) on the smaller items for STR members; Sorry, no shipping on surfboards (too easily damaged)

Nice to meet you at the sale this morning SheDevil.

Forgot to note in the ad: Everything will be going on CraigsList and eBay shortly, but I thought I'd give STR folks first crack at it.

Waldo...my good friend. The man who introduced me to STR.

Selling a Kona.

Not sure if our friendship can survive this one...

However, you did mention that the proceeds from these sales just might go toward a new Kona. I like the sound of that! "Tis there a Dawg in your future??

FYI, all...his Turner is a deliciously sweet ride. Anyone out there that fits on the XL frame is going to get a hell of a bike.

Yeah, I'm a sucker for expensive hobbies. I'll be living on ramen noodles and government cheese in my golden years!

KonaD - we need to catch up! Time for a ride and a beer...or skip the ride and go straight to the beer! There are some developments in the works ;-)

Sorry Mudd - the Stewart's not for sale.

Edited the original because I forgot to include that both bikes have Chris King headsets, plus I swapped out the worn WTB Prowler rear on the Burner for a pretty fresh 2.3" Small Block 8.

Price on the Burner: $1200
Price on the Kula: $500 obo

And finally, I have a few pics! Can provide more detailed photos on request.
