Actually I'm thinking about selling it and going back to what I know best...SS (thank Nam for the advice

)- I just can't get used to using gears..

Anyhow, at one of the newbie rides I had talked to someone about if I sold it they wanted 1st dibs (for their girlfriend) I can't remember who it was....

Well since Neil TOOK it from Maddie, and clearly she didn't give him permission to use it... It's gonna have to be one of those TOYS they share (and neither share well).

I'm always the last one up the hill..

SS is just the bike I learned on so using gears and using my Granny gear just make the dreaded climbing worse...I got frustrated and stopped riding at all...So Nam suggested I go back to what's more comfortable, so I will at least ride my bike

ok, for the record i said you should ride the ss more... never would i recommend you sell the GIFT Neil got for you !

I'm with Nam on this one. That bike is too nice to sell. Tracy I ride SS mostly. But dang it, I love my FS XC bike too. If you can keep both, I think that's a good idea.

I have thought about keeping them both, but what i'm looking at doing is upgrading to a SS maybe a bit lighter than the Surly...and it all costs $

I love the Yeti! Love it! It's by far the best bike i've ever owned....but did notice that hills I couldn't get up on the Yeti, I just power up on the Surly.

I don't know, I'm window shopping right now...Although rumor has it a Voodoo (sp?) is on it's way.

Really the reason I posted it on STR because there was a guy that said he'd be really interested in buying it for his GF for X-mas (if I was going to sale it)....If you think about it it has almost no miles on it, and has some pretty nice upgrades...It's brand new!

I know I will need a FS when I get better at riding but...After all the Hubby does work at a bike shop. So you never know what may be next in line for FS.

Nam - you are right you did not tell me to sell the gift given to me by Neil, but he too thought if i'm not using it why not sell it.

maybe you can convert it into a 1x9? that way you only shift one set of gears, it does simplify a lot...I pretty much Ride middle ring down in LPQ(the easy Sorrento/OLR side) and the thought processes you go though is a lot quicker...
