I need a tow truck ASAP

Well as some of you know Hallums is preggo and we've got too many pets to take care of once the baby comes. So the amazon parrot needs a good home. He says quite a few words: bye bye, hello, oh yeah (pretty funny), papa, what?, and a bunch of other stuff that we haven't quite made out yet
I am known for belching a LOT, and the bird immitates my belches He also makes barking sounds (we have 3 dogs) and whistles a lot. Cool bird and I hate to let it go but I know we're gonna be overwhelmed with the baby. If anyone is interested let me know. These birds sell for around $7-$800. The bird store said we should ask $475 for it but we are definately negotiable and will include a cage and a perch ($120) and a bunch of seed and peanuts. He eats most anything. Carrots, sweat peas, apples etc. I also give him some other people food like bread, chicken, meat etc. He is overall pretty quiet for a bird and is most active in the evening. I just leave him out on his perch even when I leave the house and he is fine, just sleeps. Here is a pic: |

This guy's pretty cool - has character. If you try real hard you can teach it to say stuff
But last time I was there he tried to take one of my m&m's.

can you include checkers with the bird? it makes for an interesting show, i've never seen a dog jump up and down for over an hour straight trying to get a better look at the bird.

Can we teach him to say 'The FR is a public roadway and is there for the lawful enjoyment of anyone who choses to be there.' and then place him in a tree outside of Art's place?

Rob,
We are owned by four birds. 3 Eclectus parrots and a Dusky headed conure. I put up a photo album here if anyone wants to see them. They are our "Fids" or feathered-kids. No way we would get rid of them because our family was changing. My Advice, get rid of the 3 dogs. They are much more likely to be a problem with the new baby. They eat more, poop more, and carry more bacteria. They beg, bark, and lick their genitals then your face. They run in packs with their own social hierarchy. Here's Pally and our nephew playing. Where do you supposed he is in our pack? |

Haha, that bird is a little better trained than mine. We've only had it for about 6 months. It wouldn't even go on my hand at first but does that all the time now. I just don't have the time to work with it as much as I'd like. Plus the dogs have been in the family for WAY longer so getting rid of them isn't gonna happen. After having love birds before the parrot I can't see why anyone would want those little noise makers. Parrots are very cool pets. Ours just loves to ring bells and hang on ropes and stuff. There is definately a lot more to them than one would think!
