Hi everyone! I'm a San Diego native tired of flakey friends and co-workers bailing on rides and who never seem to be able to be on time at the trail head.
I'm in for mid week night rides and early weekend rides. Cycling continues with amature frame building in my garage. Lugs and steel, baby! Hope to meet some good people here! Chris |

to STR--home to lot's of "Good People"![]() We have several San Diego rides posted now and a good amount every week. The SD Crew continues to grow more and more everyday!! There's a lot of new SD STR members lately. A few of us post regular rides, so there's a decent amount of weekly rides. Just because you're an STR newb, don't let that stop you from posting up rides too!! Post 'em up and let's get the SD rides going!! I can not stress this enough--even if it's a last second/spur of the moment ride or a ride you think no one else would be interested in, post it up anyway. You never know who might be interested or who will be able to show. Stay involved don't be a stranger!! ![]()

![]() Where did you learn the skill? I've been looking into UBI. The steel and Ti programs look very intersting. I'd love to check out your set up/jigs. Ben PS-Definitely come out with us Sat nite: Los Penasquitos Day-to-Night Ride, Saturday 10/13 @ 6:30PM |

Self taught combined with the infinite knowledge available on frameforum.net and the framebuilders news group. The Paterek manual helps too. I'll post pics of my setup. Always up for sharing in the trade. PM me. Oh yeah... NAHBS was the inspiration to start building.
Dont go to UBI unless you are ready to sink a whole lot of money into jigs/tools - it is REALLY addicting! ![]() |

Thanks for all of the welcomes, everyone! Those who were interested in the frame building, I posted a few pics on my gallery.
Hope to meet up at the Saturday PQ ride. Planing on going to the airshow that afternoon. |

![]() Happy to have another SD rider on the scene. I'm one of the flaky riders you talked about. Unfortunately, riding isn't in my top 10 of priorities. I do get out and ride when I can. If we ever meet up on a ride, I would like to know more about your frame building hobby. ![]() |
