Chula Vista Rider...

I am obviously new to STR but i have been riding for a few years now. I recently moved back to San Diego from Japan, i was there for a few years. I live down south in Chula Vista. Any time somebody wants to take a ride down this way, just let me know, i ride all the time including some weekdays. But especially every weekend. I am not quite sure why my login name is "checking...", hopefully that is temporary, or someone will chime in with an answer. Again, i extend my offer to anyone that wants to ride. If you have a ride planned and i can make it, i would love to get and ride more of SoCal and other places.

Welcome! I haven't seen any rides posted here for down in your part of town but I would suggest you also checkout the Bonita Bikers Yahoo! Group. They seem to have a good group of people that get out a ride often in that area. I would like to see some of them joining here and post some of the rides.

My wife works in CHVS so I have wanted to go and check it out. I think that Bonita ride mentioned has a couple fun areas. I read a post about a new/repaired teeter totter somewhere back there.

My main interest is to get with some of the locals for a ride up to the "rock house" I think its called? Not sure but I have seen pics and read some RR and it sounds fun. Anyways welcome and I hope to see you on the trail some time. I'm in Poway but ride most of the trails around metro and north county.

Hey, I'm part of the Bonita Bikers, we do have a nice network of trails in the area, a little bit of all kind of trails and all kind of riders too.
As a group we mainly ride sunday mornings at 8:00 from the shop on Bonita Rd., we will be more than happy to show you around just pick a sunday.

I remember being the only SD member on here forever, now's there's a getting to be a pretty good size group.

So are you opposed to riding in North County? I seem to be just about the only one who posts rides on a consistent basis, but it would be great if you could venture North for a ride sometime.

Start posting up South County rides and I will come. I haven't ridden anything south of the Tri-Canyon trails (Rose, San Clemente, Tecalote).

Don't be shy. Stay involved and stay in touch. Most importantly--POST RIDES!!!

Hey I ride w/ the Bonita guys on sundays but i'm always looking to sqeeze a ride in during the work week. Depending on what time you can get out; I generally try to hit the trails anywhere from 3:30 - 4:30 and try and ride for a couple hours so that i can get back to the family for dinner. I try and get out twice during the work week w/ no commited days. if you can't get out til' after 5-8 p.m then some wednesdays and/or fridays nights some folks head out and do various trails like Otay Lake etc. Happy trails!
