Default Just Saying Hi!

Hi everybody!

I started riding back in March and have been riding on and off. I'm riding a 2007 Specialized FSR XC but already looking to upgrade. This past summer I haven't had a chance to ride a lot so I want to start getting back into riding again. I live out in Corona and work in Lake Forest so I've Google-Earthed almost everywhere between the two cities looking for trails.

Here's a list of where
I've ridden so far:

Peters Canyon - Ridden a few times
Santa Rosa Plateau(Wildomar/Temecula) - a few times
Chino Hills - Ridden Twice, different routes
Green River to Imperial Highway on the trail - once
Whiting Ranch - few times
Aliso Woods (Mathis - Rock It) - once
Tijeras Creek - few times
Fullerton Loop - few times

I'm looking forward to riding more often and I figure since I work nights, I can try to ride before work. Just gotta get off my butt and do it. I hope to meet some of you out on the trails...just hope its not while you're passing me on a climb .

Thanks,
Jay

Look for Newbie Rides about once a month on the Calander, next one's going to be Whiting (early Sept). See you out there!

Oh, I forgot to say that I'm already registered on Geoladders too. That's how I found most of the routes. Thanks though.

I just saw your GeoLadders profile. You're knockin' out those routes, aren't ya?

I've been mostly on the road whip and my mountain bike has been gathering house dust.

My bike has been gathering dust as well. I want to get a road bike too but trying to find a place to store it at home is a pain. I was thinking of putting on some slicks and riding like that when I can't get out to a trail...at least I'd be getting out and riding.

All I need are bike racks and my family room would look like a frickin' bike shop:

COOL!!! Must be nice to have so many toys. Maybe I should sell off some of my RC cars and collect bikes. When I jump into a hobby, I JUMP into a hobby. First it was golf (got three sets of clubs), then computers, always upgrading and modding them. After that it was RC cars. 7 of those total. 4 Electric and 3 nitro. Now its cycling, got my FSR XC AND a unicycle (still can't get on that thing without holding on to something though). Still looking for a road bike but I'm still iffy about that.

Hubby and I do that also.. He bought a Kyosho buggy after graduating college and we raced rc cars for about 3.5 years. Ended up with sponsorships from Panther, then Pro-Line, Xray, Avid, and a few others. Now we've got a corner of the garage and an entire cabinet filled with stuff we haven't used in 2 years

Same with bikes now, but at least we use those all the time!

haha!! Nah, hopefully I've found my hobby of choice! I'm definitely not into fishing, and while I don't have a fear of heights, I'm not interested in flying

I actually wasn't that great of an r/c driver, but I was a chick that posted online a lot (huh! go figure!) and was one of about 3-4 that raced in So Cal.

It was fun while it lasted. I had more fun taking pics and hanging out with peeps than I did racing. All I miss is some of the people.

Back on topic... anyone wanna buy some R/C cars?

I think I might keep my nitro stuff and keep my T4. The only thing I drive around every once in a while is my LST2. I used to race almost every Saturday in Montclair at Revelation and Sundays in HB at Socal. That was fun for a while but the only exercising I did was running around and turning over cars that crashed. I think I'm going to like this new hobby. Hopefully I can make it a lifestyle too.
