[MTB Fiend]

Hola! I'm not much for posting, but I do my share of lurking. I participated in another MTB site for a long time but got burned out when folks were getting a bit too harsh on each other.
Mostly, I ride solo (mostly out of convenience, I am far from anti-social). I hope to join in on some group rides - especially out of area rides.
I think I would have enjoyed the recent Blackstar ride - Blackstar is one on my favorite rides. I heard about this group ride and this site via GeoLadders. Last year I recorded over 1000 miles on Blackstar alone!! No kidding.

I don't think any of us are anti-social, we just don't like people with better bikes, faster than us, better skills......, LOL.

Rim Nordic was a blast! Sorry we didn't see you up there. It was the usual mix of tough singletrack climbs (albiet, up different canyons) with the usual, very technical switchbacks. The sand is deeper than ever and I highsided the bike, when the S-Works got a little loose. It was such a minor bobble, though, I didn't sweat it. Good for third place on Sunday and Second place for the weekend. Coulda' done better, but what they hey?

Maybe you can come on up, for the final race on August 26th!

Congrats on your 3rd place, Regis. I miss doing Rim Nordic this year. I couldn't make the last one because the Downieville Classic, and I missed last Sunday's due to family obligations.
My mtb racing season is pretty much over, but I'll be getting ready soon for the CX season.
